About

Gillian St. Clair is a teacher of yoga and movement to help you connect with your mind, body and spirit.

Nomadic from birth, Gillian was raised by traveling ministers with her older siblings, two cats, and a dove, who traveled all over Europe and the US listening to her mother teach (not preach, she taught). Traveling, sitting, and listening (those last two took time to appreciate) are still a huge part of her adult life.

Gillian opened Steadfast and True Yoga in Nashville, TN in August 2010. She wanted to create a studio and space that held tightly to values of right action, less distraction, to create healthy reactions. She wanted to create an extended family. She succeeded, but sadly had to close the doors to the studio after her building was sold in 2023. Steadfast was an amazing journey for her and everyone involved. But now, she is ready to open another door offering more personalized services through the Space at the Station.

Gillian St. Clair is a renowned yoga instructor based in Nashville, TN. Known as the “teacher’s teacher” she is regarded as one of the most talented and knowledgeable instructors in the Southeast region. She started her asana practice in 1999 after a life of dancing (ballet & contemporary). She has studied with a wide of variety of teachers across many styles and movement modalities. Gillian incorporates aspects of dance, mobility, and strength training into many of her yoga asana practices.
